Portfolio > Patterns in a Pandemic

When I started this body of work in April of 2020 I thought the drawings were an extension of the Prep Bowl series. As the drawings unfolded I realized I was making barriers and fences trying to keep tumultuous backgrounds at bay. Rectangular gradations marked boundaries and a progression from one thing to another. Subconsciously I was making patterns influenced by physical distancing and fear of infection. All works are Slip cast Cone 5 Porcelain (except one) with Underglazes and Glazes, 2020
